What we test

Total Testosterone

Total testosterone measures the overall amount of testosterone in the blood, including both bound and unbound testosterone. This hormone is essential for various bodily functions, including muscle mass, bone density, mood regulation, and sexual health. Regular testing of total testosterone helps identify hormonal imbalances that could affect energy levels, mood, and physical health. Maintaining optimal total testosterone levels supports overall well-being and physical performance.

Free Testosterone

Free testosterone measures the fraction of testosterone that is not bound to proteins in the blood and is available for use by the body. Free testosterone is a key indicator of the bioavailable testosterone that directly affects physiological functions such as muscle growth, energy levels, and reproductive health. Regular monitoring of free testosterone levels can identify imbalances that might impact your energy, mood, and physical health. Proactively managing free testosterone levels ensures overall well-being and optimal physical performance.

SHBG

SHBG is a protein that binds to sex hormones, including testosterone, regulating their bioavailability. The level of SHBG in the blood can influence the amount of free testosterone available for the body to use. Regular testing of SHBG helps detect hormonal imbalances that may affect energy, mood, and physical health. Balancing SHBG levels is essential for maintaining overall well-being and ensuring optimal hormonal health.
